9 months

Last week the girls turned 9 months. Here are their stats:

Simone:
Height - 27 1/2 in (25-50%)
Weight - 16.6 lbs (5-10%)
Head - 17 in (25%)

Scarlet:
Height - 27 1/2 in (25-50%)
Weight - 15 lbs (<5%)
Head - 17 1/4 in (25-50%)

They are still just little things, but they eat a ton. They both still nurse about 4 times a day and they basically eat almost whatever we are eating for meals. They are getting pretty good at feeding themselves. If I pause for a second after putting food on on of their trays the other one will reach over and try to get some. They both get around really well, almost too well, doing the army crawl. Porter did that too. It's way cute to watch. But since they are dragging the front of their shirts all over the floor their shirts are all dirty by the end of the day. I swear I clean my floors, but even more so now that they are mobile. They don't really sit up because they would rather be standing or laying on the floor. We try to have them sit but they just stiffen up and won't bend at the waist.

Simone is more of a Mama's girl right now. It's cute and makes me feel special :) yet a tad annoying. She is just so lovable. She's very curious and likes to figure things out. She has always been a focused nurser. It's funny. It's like she is always in the moment with what she is doing and not so easily distracted. But when she wants something she wants it now. When it comes to solids she'll eat anything. She has no teeth yet.

Scarlet is spirited and so dang cute. She's a more picky eater. She has always been more easily distracted - always looking around seeing what's going on. She's becoming more curious and on the go. She has four teeth - the two front bottom ones and both her lateral incisors (fangs) on the top. It's funny when she smiles because she looks like a vampire. But one of her top front ones is getting ready to pop through.
