Long lasting balloon & whispering

Porter's birthday was exactly a month ago today. We had bought this balloon at Dollar Tree for him the day before his birthday. Up until a few days ago this balloon was still up on the ceiling going strong. But today it is only hovering above the ground a foot or two. I think it's day has come. But holy cow this balloon lasted forever! Maybe I've never really had one of these balloons before or I just didn't pay attention, but both Jeff and I were surprised by how long this sucker lasted. Way to go Dollar Tree balloon.

As a little side note, whenever we are in Sacrament meeting at church Porter says "Go to nursery," or "Nursery please," multiple times. Can you guess what his favorite part about church is? And he's still not very good at whispering so I feel like everyone can hear it. Today we sat in the row second from the front (even though I was at church early for choir there were just a ton of people who came early today - sitting that close to the front is NEVER my first option) and the choir sang so I went up to play the piano. When the choir was done I could hear Porter say loud and clear "Mama done playing the piano." I'm always afraid that he'll say something truly embarrassing at church in his loud voice. I swear, I'm really trying to work on whispering with him.

Good luck with the whispering thing. We are still working on whispering with Claire. Once she figures it out, we will need to start all over with Jamison.

That is funny about your balloon because I had a conversation with a few friends today about the life span of the dollar tree store balloons. We have balloons from Valentine's Day that look like we just bought them yesterday. It's ridiculous.
Also, the whispering thing is so tricky!! I could not get Carter to stop singing "Skiddle-marinky-dinky-dink" at stake conference today in his full on singing voice. At least it was cute and nothing inappropriate or anything. Hopefully people are understanding.

Don't worry. I was also sitting on the front row, and I did not hear him say anything today.

As a person at church without children we can pick out the voices of many of the children in the ward: "That's Erika" "Oh there's Porter" "That sounds like Olivia's scream" etc. etc... We think it is very cute and it makes me smile. Kids are kids and at that age they don't know how to be quiet. I love it when they yell out things like NURSERY, MOMMA, OW, DADA! Don't be embarassed, it's too cute.

Liza still doesn't whisper in church. She knows how, she just chooses not to. The little stinker. And thank you Holly for adding in there, "That sounds like Olivia's scream." I guess that's what my family will be remembered for in the Columbia River Ward.

That balloon thing is so funny, Brooklyn went to a b-day party the 1st of Feb. and brought a balloon home and it lasted about 30 days. We hated it, but couldn't pop it, cause we wanted to see how long it really would last.

It must be a new recipe they are putting in balloons these days!

I'll make sure to teach him a few words to say, ok?

I think it is cute too! Our (your) ward is awesome so I'm sure no one is bothered. We too have had a balloon from Carter's birthday and so far it's held up for almost 3 weeks. Who knew?
