2nd Christmas

At the beginning of January we went to California to have our 2nd Christmas with Jeff's family. It was in January because the price of plane tickets were way too high for us to go for real Christmas. So not only did we get a great price on our plane tickets but we got two Christmases this year. Porter loved it. It had been two years, and five babies, since all of Jeff's family had been together. It was time for a little family gathering, and we sure had fun.

At one point each day the dad's (Jeff and his two brothers) would take the four older kids out for some fresh air and fun while the moms stayed home so the 5 babies could take naps. These pics are from when they went on a hike/rock climbing adventure.

Beautiful. Southern California definitely isn't green, but it sure does have a beauty all it's own.

Jeff's Nana with the girls.

Jeff's younger brother, Gene, his wife Julie, and their three kidlets Avery, London and Jack. Gene and Julie were nice enough to let us take over their house in Corona for our visit. Thanks you guys!

You know who these fine folks are.

Jeff's older brother Chris, his wife Vicky, and their kidlets Lenore, Abner and Violet. They found out they were having twins around the time we had the girls. I had to laugh at them :) And no, twins do not run in the family. We are all just lucky, ha ha.

The whole fam damily. Good looking bunch, isn't it. In less than a year Jeff's mom went from having 4 grandkids to 9.

The boys with Ma and Nana.

On one of the days we were there my sister and her family came up from San Diego to hang out with us. Since my family is spread all over the country we take any opportunity we can to hang out.

Karen, Stephen and Zenden. Thanks for hanging out with us!!

We had tons of fun, many laughs, and with 5 babies there was of course some crying. The kids were exhausted by the time we got home. This is them in the car on the way home from the airport. We played hard. Thanks for the good times, the presents, and all the love! Can't wait to see everyone again - hopefully it won't be another 2 years before we make it back to sunny California.

I like how one of the first things you did was let the kids play on the train tracks. :)
