This is a combined post about our Thanksgiving trip to Utah and Jeff's work Christmas party. First, Thanksgiving: We decided to go to Utah for Thanksgiving because we needed to check places out to see where Jeff is going to open up his practice and where we want to live. My parents live in Salt Lake City and we had checked out Layton all the way down to Spanish Fork and narrowed it down to opening a practice in Draper/Sandy and living in one of the surrounding areas like Riverton. No definite plans have been made but we have started to get the ball rolling. We flew down Thanksgiving morning and flew back Sunday night, so we didn't have too much time to fit in family time, visiting some friends, and checking places out.

On the plane ride there we took Southwest so we could choose our own seats, and even though we only had to pay for 3 tickets because the girls are so young we still couldn't all sit in one row because there are only 4 masks in each row. So I had Simone and Jeff had Scarlet and Porter. Jeff likes to have Porter sit with him because Porter's so small so if it's a full flight he can have little Porter next to him instead of some other big person. So that means he gets to deal with 2 kids - I'm not complaining :) The plane wasn't full so Jeff strapped Scarlet into the center seat and she fell asleep. Too cute!

Hanging with the family on Thanksgiving.

My cute mom :)

I'm starting the girls out young!

Of course we had to go to In-N-Out. That's just a given.

Hanging with some of our friends and Porter getting his play on with our friend's daughter.

Porter's cousins that live in Utah - Claire and Jamison.

Then in December Jeff's office went to Silver Mountain for the night and festivities included sledding, the indoor water park, dinner out for the adults, and breakfast the next morning. Good times.

The hotel room was pretty nice. It had one bedroom, a big bathroom and a kitchen. Too bad we couldn't stay there longer.

Simone fashioning her preppy look the next morning. Oh, and don't forget the goggles.

What, Scarlet reaching to quickly grab anything in sight?? Nah.
